About IDG Events
Meet Icah
Hi there! I’m Icah, and welcome to IDG Events. For as long as I can remember, weddings and events have always been a part of my life. Growing up, my mother created (and still creates) wedding décor, and I loved to tag along and help. Seeing the joy and smiles on each guest’s face as they walked into the room always warmed my heart. I always knew I wanted to be a part of the transformation process from hotel ballroom, or barn, or even park playground.. to your dream-come-true wedding.
Fast forward, I found myself working with an event production company for seven years before transitioning into the hospitality business. I worked my way up in different restaurants, bars, and concert venues over the course of a decade. I started off as a server and then moved into bartending. Then came Event Sales Manager, and finally, I became a General Manager of a couple nightclubs for the next few years.
Throughout all my time in the food and beverage hospitality industry, I never lost my passion for events. I always tried to integrate my background in events at each venue whether it was curating an event or coordinating one. And so, after becoming a mom to quite a dapper young man, I decided to re-enter the world with a new venture focusing on weddings and events.
IDG Events combines everything and everyone that I’ve been so blessed to learn from and I’d love to be a part of your journey to hosting your perfect event!
